About Richard:
During his college years, he had an internship with RJ Reynolds, whereby he developed an excellent knowledge of merchandising on the retail grocery market level. He also gained much knowledge in one of the toughest sales job a person can have, working for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance in college. In the years following his graduation from California State University Fullerton, he worked for such companies and organizations such as GTE, UCLA, Arcadis Geraghty & Miller, Langan Engineering and Proctor & Gamble. His early work at Proctor & Gamble really was an eye opening experience, in that this was the time bar coding technology had just opened up the true wonders of information technology, as it related to retail merchandising/marketing. For almost 10 years of his life, he worked in the envirornmental engineering arena doing business development, whereby he quickly rose as a marketing problem solver in this highly competitive industry.
Years later after leaving environmental engineering on both the West and East Coast, Mr. Robinson found himself as an instant authority in the area of internet marketing by landing a very nice contract with UCLA. His mission was to introduce the university’s first "paid for" upgraded ISP via a sophisticated and delicate marketing plan . From this point, at the height of the dot com bubble, he served as a consultant to one of the first online yellow pages, Yellowonline.com whereby he developed the preliminary marketing plan for them and other proposed start-up internet companies at the time. Beyond the aforementioned experiences, he has worked in the political arena serving as a campaign consultant in Los Angeles city politics, and has also worked with non profit organizations such as the Salvation Army and American Heart Assoicaition to name a few. Through these experiences and others in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, like a fine bottle of wine, he has become a true dynamic person in the areas of marketing/public relations/sales and education; getting better, and better, with time.
